  • Overview

    Working as part of the global Corporate Communications team and reporting directly to the Senior Director of Global Corporate Communications, the Director of Global Analyst Relations is a strategic addition to Veeam’s worldwide marketing organization.  The role will be responsible for cultivating Veeam’s relationships with analyst firms across the globe.  The successful candidate will craft and own the company’s dialogue among analyst firms that influence customers and prospects globally, ensuring that Veeam is recognized as the market leader in delivering Hyper-Availability solutions. 

    Responsibilities

    • Develop a global analyst relations strategy, including goals and objectives, guiding principles, measurement mechanisms, templates and forms
    • Work with diverse teams to generate programs that are specifically tailored to analyst communities; coach the global team to think of analysts as core to Veeam’s GTM audience for every activity and strategic communication
    • Build communication tools to consistently touch the analyst community
    • Serve as the strategic point of contact for analyst relations activities, including suggestions for potential initiatives to drive awareness and understanding within tier one and two firms globally
    • Manage the analyst relations team to cultivate ongoing relationships with firms such as Gartner and IDC, identify new firms to engage, and ensure that Veeam is top-of-mind for all reports on the subject of data center availability (thought leadership)
    • Orchestrate world class briefings, strategy days and analyst events
    • Work closely with Product and Solutions Marketing to understand priorities, test messaging and position our solutions for multiple segments including SMB, Enterprise and vertical markets.
    • Work with Veeam’s leadership team to develop entries and submissions for core analyst reports (such as Gartner Magic Quadrants)
    • Arrange and drive strategic analyst engagements that will support sales/business planning
    • Own the dissemination of market intelligence to the leadership team and wider Veeam stakeholders
    • Negotiate contracts and oversee renewals of global relationships
    • Special projects as assigned

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration or related area
      (a combination of education and experience will be considered)
    • 12+ years of marketing/communications experience (ideally software oriented experience), proven leadership in developing and executing strategic analyst programs and of working within a global corporate communications department
    • Established relationships with main global analyst firms (references will be sought)
    • In-depth knowledge of the customer purchasing journey and how analyst firms play a role in influencing behaviors
    • Strong organizational skills
    • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
    • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
    • Enthusiastic, intelligent, hard-working, results-oriented

    • Expert in understanding how to gather market requirements, market input, framing solutions to address core market needs, and developing product positioning statements
    • High degree of business acumen and market analysis.
    • Strong business acumen with an ability to drive and lead teams to make good business decisions
    • Demonstrated ability to course correct to meet corporate goals and objectives.
    • Thorough understanding of market dynamics to position Veeam competitively both short-term and long-term
    • Demonstrated ability to collaborate, partner and drive for results with customers and key stakeholders
    • Proven history of working with senior management (VP and C-Level)
    • Establish personal trust, credibility and transparency with the Analyst community

    • Demonstrate effective leadership and execution of the vision and strategy in a Marketing function as it relates to offerings, programs and solutions both domestically and internationally

    • Craft thought leadership content and effectively share these with internal stakeholders; must be able to be perceived as an effective and credible leader at all levels within an organization and with external customers

    • Flexible and have the ability to think/act strategically as well as roll up their sleeves and work as an individual contributor to meet goals
