  • Overview

    The Director, Area Partner Sales is responsible for managing and leading a regional partner sales team by overseeing sales for new and existing customers of Veeam Software through all resellers in the Area.


    • The Area Director of Partner Sales will have Partner Managers to manage and drive revenue with focus partners in the territory
    • The Area Director of Partner Sales will engage and help enable the field sales offices of select Alliance partners by orchestrating, scheduling and executing field trainings and marketing events such as Lunch n Learns, Tech Workshops, trade shows and Joint Speaking Engagements
    • Work with all segment sales leaders in the territory to build territory sales plans, execute against the sales strategy, drive revenue growth and deliver targets
    • Work with Area Inside Sales Managers & staff to follow up on inbound leads, target named accounts and maximize revenue
    •  Drives, manages and executes the business and revenue of the area sales team; develops, coaches and trains sales staff on partner procurement models
    • Analyzes area market dynamics in an effort to maximize existing successes and to create new sales growth opportunities
    • Educates team on significant industry factors including competitive products, regulations, trends, customer needs, and pricing
    • Prepares forecasts, territory/industry management, and growth plans
    • Establishes and reports on metrics to measure team performance; correct deficiencies where necessary
    • Serves as contact for all partner partners in the area and leads sales actions to close large deals when necessary
    • Ensures that the partner sales plan is aligned with and supports the corporate revenue goal of the area
    • Recruits, hires and trains staff members; fosters a successful and positive team environment


    • Bachelor’s Degree required (a combination of education and experience will be considered)
    • At least five (5) years of sales management, selling software through the partners and end users
    • Must be a high performing partner sales manager with a proven track record of consistently exceeding established measurements for goals and objectives
    • Must be able to demonstrate previous success as an individual contributor with relationship marketing and sales in a two tier partner sales model
    • Must be a skilled motivator with demonstrated ability to coach and develop sales staff to exceed targeted sales objectives and deliver high quality service to customers
    • Preferred candidates will have experience in partner 2 distribution sales models and business-to-business selling and will have strong partner, reseller and alliance partner relationships
    • Excellent management and communication skills (written and verbal)
    • Demonstrated knowledge of different sales methodologies and customer relationship management (CRM) system: SalesForce knowledge is desired
    • Knowledge of large distributors and value added resellers (VAR’s) is highly desired
    • Knowledge of storage, virtualization technology, and experience with VMware and/or Citrix is highly desirable
